Abundant Housing in Our Backyards With Ezra Klein

Join us on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 4 pm in San Mateo for a live streaming watch party of New York Times journalist and podcast host Ezra Klein as he discusses how housing policy impacts our everyday lives.

Amidst a national crisis of housing affordability and accessibility, understanding the path from legislation to livable communities has never been more crucial. Our speakers will discuss the multifaceted challenges of housing law implementation, from navigating bureaucratic hurdles to fostering community support and overcoming political and economic barriers.

Peninsula for Everyone and YIMBYAction, as well as several other housing advocacy organizations in San Mateo County, have chosen to endorse Measure T on San Mateo's 2024 election ballot because it is common sense legislation which will increase housing inventory where we need it most - with our middle and low income families, veterans, seniors, public safety workers, and more - and support local businesses with concentrating density to create natural foot traffic flows for our local economy.

Consider joining our grassroots campaign to update 33 year old building height limits and land use regulations in the City of San Mateo this November.
