We are so proud to have the support from some of the largest labor unions in San Mateo County, representing thousands of people working in public service, the trades, and protective services.
A bit about the unions and organized Labor that support Measure T, which is on the City of San Mateo ballot this November 2024:
The San Mateo County Central Labor Council was formed as the local body of the national AFL-CIO and serves as an umbrella organization for the Labor community in the County, consisting of 95 affiliated local unions and representing more than 80,000 union members and their families in the County.
IAFF Local 2400, or the International Association of Firefighters Local 2400, whose mission is to work together to improve our communities and fire service in a united effort to cultivate partnerships and consolidate.
The Nor Cal Carpenter's Union represents over 37,000 skilled craftspeople and is one of the largest organized voices in the construction industry.
IBEW Local 617, or the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 617 and represents over 1,600 electrical workers in San Mateo County.
AFSCME Local 829, or the Association of Federal, State, County, and Municipal Employees Local Union 829, represents over 3,000 workers across San Mateo County.
The incredible support we have gotten from Labor underscores how important workforce housing and local businesses are to a thriving local community and economy.
Join Team Measure T! We need volunteers, and we need community members to add their name to the growing list of supporters. Last but not least, we need help funding the campaign. It costs a lot to reach 70,000 voters in San Mateo - please consider donating to our work.
